WordPress is one of the most important tool that every internet marketer keeps using over and over again. Not just because its plain simple to install and use, but it has got all the SEO work ready so you don’t have to spend much time. In this article, I’m gonna teach you on How to build the Perfect WordPress Blog.
Please note that I won’t be covering on how to install the blog but instead, cover on what has to be done after the installation is done so you get all the basics completed and your blog looks professional both to the search engines as well as to please your visitors.

Once your Installation is complete, the first thing you wanna do is get into the Admin Panel or Dashboard which is usually accessed via http://www.YourBlogDomain.com/wp-admin
Scroll down to the settings section in the left menu column. Go through each one of the setting there.
In the General setting section, make sure you fill in the Site Title and Taglines with keyword rich content as this has a high impact on SEO score. Everything else on that page shall be left out as it is.
Next on the Writing settings section, make sure you fill in a good list of Update/Ping services. This is ignored my almost 90% of bloggers. Find my list here and copy it. Then at the bottom, make sure you enable XML RPC publishing protocols if you plan to post using my auto blogging software.
On Discussion settings, set admin to approve comments and not to email for every comments else your mailbox will have full of junk comment notifications. Also don’t forget to disable pingbacks and trackbacks as well.
Then on the Privacy Setting page, make sure your site is visible to Search Engines. I found that many blog installations done via Fantastico have this setting as blocking search engines. If you ignore, all your efforts will be wasted.
Next on the Permalinks page, make sure you set a custom structure. I always use this: /%category%/%postname%/ and it makes the individual post links more SEO friendly and also organized.
Setup the Categories
Did you notice the permalink structure has the category name on it? Every post in WordPress can be assigned to a Category and having your primary keywords as Categories will boost your SEO score a lot.
First change the ‘Uncategorized’ or default category to something else. You may do a Google Wonder Wheel search and find all the related categories for your niche, then set them up.
You could also find other top keywords using Google Adwords tool and set the top ones as Categories.
Install Only the Absolutely Essential Plugins
There may be a hundred 1000 plugins free for download. Many of them will be fancy and make you wanna install. But before installing anything, make sure you answer 2 simple question. Does the plug-in do any good to my blog? If I don’t install the plug-in, does it impact on the growth of my blog?
The more plugins you install, more load you’re giving on your servers and it significantly slows down your blog for visitors. So install only the absolutely essential plugins. You can also checkout the list of top plugins I use.
Almost every plugin will have an individual setting page, make sure you check them out after installing.
Switch to a Good Theme
I have seen a lot of people still using the default theme. Never do it! People want to look at fresh blogs and not the same designs over and over again.
A simple Google search could get you a ton of free WordPress themes or if you’ve got my Auto Blogging Software, I’ve given you 100 good looking themes as a bonus. Use them!
Make sure you find a theme that fits your niche and the target market. I mean, don’t use a Pink theme for a Men’ site.
Remove Unnecessary Links
By default, a bunch of links are added to the Blogroll and other sections. You don’t need any of them.
Some themes may also include links at the footer and other places like Sidebar. Check for them and remove unless it doesn’t violate any terms of the theme author.
Get Regular Pages Ready
In addition to posts, WordPress has the ability to display individual static pages. Usually you get an About Us page, edit it with a few bit of information about you. Make sure to fill in some keyword rich content there.
In addition, you also want to have a Privacy Policy and Terms of Use page. You can find a ton of templates for this, or simply copy paste from random blogs. These pages will make your blog look professional and also in compliance with Google’ new Adsense Terms.
Setup Your Ads
What is a blog without any monetization done? Google Adsense is my priority as it helps you earn something even from a trickle of traffic you receive. Make sure you install the ad codes directly on the theme files so they get inserted on every post automatically. If that sounds a bit complicated, there are some free plugins to do this. Check them out.
Optimizing Adsense for High CTR takes a whole new chapter and I may cover it later in a different article. For now, the basics, make sure the ads are blending well with your content. Use the same background and link color as in your web page and place them in strategic positions where your visitor’ eye would first go.
In addition to adsense, you must also find some affiliate products and add their banners to the sidebar.
To be more aggressive, write some reviews recommending a buy on those products and add them as unique articles which will also double benefit as boosting SEO for your blog.
Actually there are a ton of other monetzation options like seting up an auto responder and so on. I will cover them all in separate articles the following week.

How To Optimize Landing Pages For Conversions

Landing pages are crucial for online business and it simply determines if you will make money or not. Poorly optimized landing page will get you nothing but a highly optimized landing page means more conversions and more money you make online.
Landing page is actually a page in your website where you target your visitors and persuade them to take a specific action such as subscribing to your email newsletter, download a trial version of your product and so on.
Keep it short, simple and to the point
It is hard to get a visitor to your website and if the visitor did not find what he is looking for in the first few seconds, he is most likely to abandon your website. So highlight only the important stuffs. For example, just tell them the benefits of completing the action on that page instead of narrating other stories.
Dark text on white background
Always try to use the universal dark text on a white background layout as it is more pleasing to read. Some websites use dark background and grey text which makes the visitor’s eye to strain a lot and obviously he will leave immediately.
Have action buttons all over
Forget about the beautiful button designs. The action button should always grab attention and a bold one does get a lot already. Make sure you have the action buttons at the top, bottom, middle and wherever your visitor could possibly standby for a while. Same time, don’t overload them and maintain a right balance too.
Avoid distractions and escape routes
Usually people navigate away from a webpage through links and if your landing page has one, they have more chances of leaving without taking action. Simply avoid any link and also other distractions to your visitor. Let the only way to leave the page is to complete the goal or take action.
Don’t require too much of information
If your landing page is designed to make people subscribe to your newsletter or request a trial of your product, avoid making them fill out lengthy forms. Just their email and probably their name should be more than enough. The more fields you ask them to fill out, more chances of them getting bored and leaving without action.
Don’t forget optimizing encore pages
Encore page are as important as your landing page. It is where your visitor lands after the goal of the landing page is completed. Just because the goal is completed, it doesn’t mean the visitor can leave for good. You can still try to monetize more with additional goals and so on. Once a person takes action on your landing page, he is more likely to act again with you and so make use of this Encore pages too.
Split test different landing pages
Lastly, test you landing pages to see which one works and keep tweaking more and more for better conversions. A small change could even result in a drastic change in conversions. Simply test by sending half your visitors to your second landing page and test to see which one converts well.

Free traffic comes absolutely from search engines and as referrals from other websites. Firstly, optimize your site for the best SEO possibilities. If your post has a value, more chances for people to visit your website through the link available at your signatures.
Comment on other blogs
Do a Google search and find blogs related to your niche. Read through the blogs and comment wherever possible. You don’t want to overdo this as most bloggers won’t easily approve comments with link backs to website. So make sure you provide a comment that has some value in it. Setup Contests and Baits
Baits are posts intended to go viral. People love contests and freebies. Offer some freebies and tell them you will offer more when they refer 5 of their friends to your website. Adsense is still by far the best way to make money online from blogs or just about any website, especially if you’re starting out new. Here are some tips to help you earn more with Adsense.
First of all, you must understand that it is the traffic that makes you money. More traffic you have, more money you make. Apart from traffic, it is the CTR or Click Thru Rate that determines the amount of money you make from Adsense.
CTR is simply the ratio between ad clicks to impressions. Say for every 100 times the ads have been displayed or served on your website, if you get 5 clicks, the CTR is 5%. So if the CTR is more, you will make more money even with low traffic and more traffic will again mean more money.
You can improve the CTR by blending the ads well within the content. People in this age are turning blind to ads. I mean, nobody visits a website to click on an ad link. They’re looking for pure information. But if your ad looks more like information provided in your website, don’t you think they will click on it? So make your ads look a lot like regular content on your website. Place them in positions where they will look at.
Adsense does support different color options and formats you can choose. You must always use the same background color of your website for the ad background color and try not to use borders for ads by selecting the background color and border color to the same. Finally, if you could not make the ad to match well with your site because of the limited options provided by Adsense, make your website content to match the ads.
After you have worked on improving the CTR, work on gaining more traffic. Optimize your website for good search engine rankings as that is where you get most of the quality traffic from. You can also participate in forums and leave links to your website in signatures. You can do the same by commenting on other blogs related to your niche but don’t overdo these as it will get you banned as a spammer. Make it look natural and you should be fine.

Why Should You Not Use Flash For Web Designs

Building a new website? Flash can surely help you bring breath-taking animations and eye candy effects to your visitors but if there is no one to see your creation, do you think it’s worth building then?
That’s right if you want a major chunk of traffic coming from search engines like Google forget use of Flash objects. Flash and SEO are like Oil and Water, they do not mix and never like each other. Google rates websites largely based on the content present within and they have custom made software that act like bots to scan the content available on each and every page. Unfortunately, their software or any software for that matter could not decipher what’s within the Flash object and so your website content is missed in their scanning process.
Using Flash objects will not just have an impact on search engine ranking but also on your visitors because of their larger file size, they take too long to load and no one would like to wait until it loads. They will instead move on to another site that gives them just what they need.
However, you can still use Flash for menu items, video presentations and some minor bits on your website; provided you assign alternate html content for the same so the search engines could decipher them. How To Insert Adsense In Blogger.com Blogs

Recently Google published an easy one click method to publish Adsense ads on Blogger.com blogs. But if you want to earn more, you need to strategically place the ads. Let me explain both the ways to you.
First the easy way: Once you login to your Blogger.com dashboard and select a blog, you will see a tab named ‘Monetize’ at the top. Click on it and from there you can link your Adsense account with the Blogger account if they share the same Google account.
Once you’ve done that, adding the Adsense ads is just a simple click-here, click-there process. You can even choose how often you want the ads to appear, for example after every 2 posts and sorts.
To insert ads, you have to choose ‘Page Elements’ menu option under ‘Template’ tab. Once you’re there, you will see an outline of your template’ framework there. In the lower right corner of the ‘Blog Posts’ section, you will see a link to ‘Edit’ (see in the image here).
In the Edit page, you can find the option to insert Adsense ads automatically and can also choose the ad colors, format and sorts. Choose the one that best suits your blog and save. That’s it!
But the problem here is, you have very limited placement options like either at the top and bottom of posts or between a number of posts on the frontpage. I call these ‘bland’ positions and it will never attract any attention to your visitors leaving you no clicks or revenue. Also, it doesn’t allow any channel tracking option so you won’t know which blog is generating much of your revenue.
If you want to make more money, you need to strategically place the Ads and even a 2 pixel alignment change matter a lot. The best placement that I have tested to work is, placing a large block of rectangle ad 336x280 (text-only ad) right below the post title and then a horizontal banner of 468x60 size (text-only) at the end of the article even before the labels, tags and other information appears.
Obviously it is the title that grabs the attention of your visitor and that is the first thing your reader focuses on visiting your blog. Next is the stuff following and having a large block of ad there will greatly improve your CTR. Even if he ignores that and proceeds to read the content, if your article is interesting enough to engage him till the end of it, he will then exit your page through the banner ad shown right at the end of the article. This strategy has got me over 30% CTR many times and it also maintains high quality of your page.
Here’s how you place the ads strategically for more clicks and revenue:
First, login to your Adsense account and generate the code for both the blocks and temporarily save the code onto a notepad.
Basically wherever you place this code on your website/blog, it gets replaced by Adsense ads. In case of Blogger.com blog, you need to place this code directly in your template. But you can place them directly because they use a simple XML format for their templates and special coding like these are parsed into something else when you save them so the ads won’t appear. Hence, you need to make the Adsense code Blogger friendly. Simply visit this website and paste your Adsense code there to get a blogger friendly code and save it to notepad for the moment.
Now get back to your Blogger dashboard, select the blog and edit the template. Remember the ‘Page Elements’ menu option that we saw initially? Next to that, you will find an option to ‘Edit HTML’, select that and also on the option where it says ‘Expand Widget templates’.
Once you’ve done that, you will see the source code of your Blogger template there. Simply scroll through and find the code where it says:
Paste you code just above and below that text. A large rectangle block above and a horizontal banner block below so the ads appear before and after the post content. That’s it, save the template, reload your blog after 10 minutes and you can start seeing Adsense ads in the best placements on your blog.

How To Make Money From Automated Blogs

After I recently launched the most powerful Auto Blogging Software, there had been a lot of requests on the best practices and usage on the software to make more money from automated blogs safely. So here it is.
First of all, automated blogs are just like regular blogs and the only difference is you don’t need to take the pain in updating content regularly and the auto blogging software will grab content from various other websites you specify and posts them to your blog.
It might sound as “stealing content” but it becomes completely ethical when you give a link-back to the original article which the software can handle easily.
Where to start:
As every business begins with a keyword research, you don’t need to get deep into this. Just find a keyword that has some decent competition going around. You can find broad niches too and then split them into sub-niches on different sub-domains or different blogger blogs interlinked to each other.
For self-hosted WordPress type blogs, I would suggest having not more than 5-7 sub-domains and for Blogger.com, don’t have more than 5-7 blogs on one Google account. You can easily sign-up for another Google account from a different computer and have another set of blogs in it. The reason for not having more than 7 blogs is because it raises red-light in common sense as a normal person cannot have more than 5 blogs updated regularly and may lead to deletion of blogs.
I have around 5 blogs on each account and a total of 7 accounts all going well over 6 months without any problems so far. I don’t anticipate any either as I’m on the safer side by using different themes for different blogs or I try to make them look as genuine as possible.
For WordPress, I always use the unlimited hosting plan from HostGator as they’re the cheapest or at least worth for the price. I can host unlimited domains in one single account and they also have the best support team by far. Been using them for years and never had any issues. If you don’t have an account with them yet, I strongly recommend you get one. You can use my affiliate link to sign-up and get your first month hosting completely free!
Ok, so once you have an hosting account ready, start building blogs. For WordPress, choose a decent domain name with main keywords in the name and set it up with Hostgator. Use Fantastico to install WordPress. Then apply your favorite theme, install popular plug-ins, insert Adsense code and so on. I usually have them all in one package so right after I install a blog; I upload the package and enable them immediately from WordPress backend.
For free Blogger.com, creating a new blog is just as easy as clicking 4 or 5 buttons and you’re done. I recommend having an equal number of WordPress blogs and free Blogger.com blogs.
Setting Up The Software:
Okay, so once the blog is built, you’re going to find the source websites from where the content will be grabbed. Just do a simple Google search for your niche and you will find some top websites that have their content updated regularly. Grab their RSS feed URL and add it to the software. Likewise, repeat with other websites too. You can also read my short article on how to find feed sources for your blog.
I would recommend adding 3-5 feed sources for each blog you create.
So till now, you must have spent about 15 minutes in creating the blog and half hour to find feed sources and setting up the software. So roughly in less than an hour, you have a blog ready which can be updated regularly on a single click from the software.
Everyday you’re going to repeat the process and build more blogs. Don’t build more than one blog each day as it is easier to stay on track this way. Also, for the remaining time, focus on getting traffic to your blog.
Once a while, do some link-building, social book marking and this should be enough. I usually out-source this task but for the beginning you can do it yourself. Once a blog gets indexed and gets a steady amount of traffic, you can forget it for a couple of months. Later re-do the same link building and sorts to keep it alive in search engines but the content that gets updated regularly by the software should be enough for standing up in the search engines by itself.
Best Practices:
You should always focus on building more blogs. It is very easy to make $1 per day from one blog. If you have 50 blogs, it is $50 per day. Don’t just forget these blogs after creating and setting them up. Once a while do some link-building and social bookmarking as there is no point in having a blog without traffic.
You can use the single Adsense account for all your blogs in the empire. But when you’re blog count increases over 50 or when you start making over 100 per day on one Adsense account, I would suggest you apply for another one in a different name. Not mandatory but just to be on the safe side. You can then split the blogs between each account.
Always go with the best placements of Adsense. There are already a few High Adsense CTR themes available for download but they all don’t look good and makes it obvious as a MFA (Made For Adsense) type of website which Google won’t like much.
In my opinion, every theme is a High CTR theme and it depends on the way you place the ads. For example, place a large rectangular block of ad (336x280) just below the title and a banner styled (468x60) ad at the end of the content. And always choose to display “Text Only” ads so no image ads are shown. This has worked best for me.
Bottom Line:
Always focus on building more blogs. Don’t put all the eggs in one basket. Split all your blogs into different accounts and different platforms. And to every blog you build, don’t forget to do some promotion like link building and social bookmarking once a while. Once in 3 months should also be fine.
Always set the blogs to be updated with not more than 5 posts per day. You can easily set this in the software. Split each post with interval of 60 minutes or even more and they will get scheduled to be published on future time automatically.
Look out for more niches. Rinse and repeat the process. Closely watch the stats. If performance or visitors to any blog decreases, it’s time to do some social bookmarking. Stay tuned for more.
How to Get Your Page Double Listed in Google

Have you ever noticed indented listings on Google’s SERP or Search Results Pages? Those listings usually stand out and grab the attention of the visitor getting a heavy click through rates. Wondered how to get the same for your site? Here we go.
First, let’s see the logic behind Double Listings on Google SERPs. Actually it’s no rocket science: When two different pages of the same website show up on the same SERP (Search Engine Result Page) then Google would group them together.
Let‘s say for example if your page has a rank of 15 and 20, they would be grouped and shown together; first one with the normal alignment and the next an indented one. Call it a pretty smart move by Google. The main purpose is that Google intends to show results that are both very significant and relative to one another.
Steps to get your page double listed:
Determine the page for which you’d like a double listing.This is the first step where you must get one of your pages already ranked in Google for a particular keyword. Once that is done, you’re simply going to create another page similar to the first page.
Structuring Your Second Page:
Make sure that the title page heading for the second page is very much similar to the first page but not the same as the first page.
For Content, make sure the keyword density in the second page is slightly higher than the first page.
Linking Strategy:
Exchange links between the first and second pages. Ensure that page 1 is linked to page 2 with the anchor text that you would want page 2 to rank for. Again link page 1 to page 2 with the same anchor text. Also, link page 2 to every other places on your website where the first page links to, using the same anchor texts.
Finally:
Get two or more Backlinks for second page from authority sites (say the article directories or other web 2.0 sites).
Now give it some time for Google to find your second page having significant value as to the first page or confuse itself on finding the right page with the content and group both of the pages for you to get higher click thru rates.

Dhoom 3 Teaser Trailer Officially Launched

Yash Raj Films unveiled the teaser trailer of this year's one of the most awaited films - Dhoom 3 featuring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
The trailer opens with Aamir Khan setting up the theme of the film, coupled with a baritone best suited for evil geniuses, with the dialogue, "Bande hai hum uske, hum pe kiska zor...apne haatho kismat likne aaj chale hai hum."
From what we can tell, Aamir Khan will be performing some pretty neat action sequences in the third installment of the Dhoom series. He doesn't disappoint in the looks department either, he embodies the role of a gorgeously hot conniving game master to the tee! Katrina Kaif replaces Aishwarya Rai but thankfully she hasn't adopted the size zero figure that we saw Aishwarya work so hard for. However, our sources reveal that Katrina has performed a majority of her stunts in the film.
Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprise their role as the good cop, bad cop couple and looked rather comfortable doing so.
The teaser trailer of the film looks slick and impressive. We hope Aamir's introduction in the ensemble cast elevates the quality of the film. The film is set to release on December 20, 2013.
